On June 24-25, a church conference dedicated to a long-awaited event in the life of our church, namely the presentation of the UGCC Catechism "Christ is Our Easter," will take place in Lviv.

This unusual event was blessed by Patriarch Sviatoslav. The UGCC Patriarchal Catechetical Commission and Catechetical-Pedagogical Institute of the Ukrainian Catholic University are the main organizers of the event.  The event is also supported by the Lviv City Council.

A working group has been creating the catechism for almost 10 years. The book consists of three main parts: "Belief of the Church", "Prayer of the Church" and "Life of the Church." Patriarch Sviatoslav, who is the author and coordinator of the third part, will present the UGCC Catechism on June 24. Thereafter, a press conference will take place, reported the Patriarchal Catechetical Commission.

The participants of the conference (from the USA, Canada, Russia, Poland, Brazil, Serbia, Portugal and many regions of Ukraine) will concentrate their attention on the content of the catechism as well as on practical aspects of its implementation in the life of the church. The presentation will take place within the program commemorating the 10th anniversary of Pope John Paul II's visit to Ukraine and the beatification by him of the 27 Greek Catholic new martyrs.

On June 26, in the church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Lviv, Sykhiv district), a Pontifical Divine Liturgy will be celebrated. Secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the Catholic Church, Archbishop Nicola Eterovych, will address the faithful present at the Liturgy.

On June 27, Archbishop Eterovych will present at the Lviv Holy Spirit Seminary a document "Word of God" ("Verbum Domini"), which was translated by the Patriarchal Catechetical Commission. Archbishop Eterovych will also participate in the press conference presenting the work on the new evangelization.
