In a thorough study of abortion statistics in New York City, the Chiaroscuro Foundation has found that more than half are obtained by women who have had at least one prior abortion, and more than one-third are financed by Medicaid.
The Chiaroscuro Foundation is dedicated to reducing the rate of abortion in New York. Today 41% of the recorded pregnancies in the city end in abortion: a rate nearly double the national average.
