Joyfully Orthodox Catholic: Aug 15

15. Today's the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the BIGGEST HolY-day of the year dedicated to Mary our Mama in Jesus!!!!

I'm in my 50th year of life now...
What can one say in one's 50th year about living as a Catholic Christian who is homosexually oriented (" gay ") but chooses - and has always chosen - to live according to Biblical Catholic faith and moral teaching? i.e. celibate, chaste, and prayerful about it.
Well, it is a blessed and super challenging adventure from the inside out. Being it's an adventure it is Really hard at times because the territory is dangerous, and unknown and filled with demons and monsters - its landscape is constantly shifting to be More treacherous, More confusing, More incomprehensible with the passing of time - And God in Jesus and the Holy Spirit are always there mostly unseen, but known by faith. God does never just 'go away' (unless you tell him you don't want him anymore but that's to be worked out between the two of you) - in Him we live and move and have our being (Bible)... It is thus and so. BLESSED FEAST OF OUR LADY'S ASSUMPTION!
